PJs

The Sheffields gave us a bag of cloths when Austin was born. These Pjs were in it and I love them. They look like long underwear. He is just such a cutie in them and I think they make him look longer.

Running

Jeff started running and he decided to take Austin with him. So I got him all bundled up and gave him his bink and they were off. Jeff said he fell asleep within minutes so I guess he liked it. It is a little too cold now for him to go out with Jeff on his runs. I was excited for him to wear the hat I made for him.

3 months old

Austin turned three months old on Friday. He is getting so big. He is too big for the cute shoes my friend Erin got for him. I told Jeff I was sad he was getting older and couldn't fit into his darling shoes and he asked me if I would rather him fit into those shoes or sleep through the night. He made a good point. Austin has been sleeping really good the past week which is great timing for all my big projects that are due Wednesday.

He found his hand

Austin has found his hand. You can see him looking right at it and then he turns it and puts it in his mouth. He has been doing this a lot. I don't think it has replaced his bink though, he is totally a binki boy.

New Friend

Our friends Nate and Erin Woodward were really nice and watched Austin for us while I was in class and Jeff was taking the GRE. It was really a blessing and so we told them we wanted to return the favor. So on friday we watch their daughter Jackie while they went to see a movie. Jackie was perfect the whole time and just sat and watched Enchanted. She was so funny with Austin though. She didn't want him to touch her and she kept looking over at him. We have a video of it, we'll have to upload it soon.

What a man what a man

Austin seems to always let loose the stinkiest loudest farts right when it gets quiet at church. Everyone in the pew giggles and Jeff points to Austin. Sometimes if they are really loud Austin will start to cry after he stinkers. Maybe we can get it on video sometime.

Mr. Wigglesworth

I've been calling Austin Mr. Wigglesworth because he wiggles a lot. He has been making more sounds and smiling all the time. It is actually harder for me to leave him and go to class than when he was first born. I think I love him more and more every day. He is my little man. All the nurses and his doctor talked about how cute he is and my doctor told me he wanted to take him home. He is doing well with growing and eating. He got his shots yesterday so we had a rough evening last night. Luckily I have a great and smart older sister who knew some tricks to help me last night. His leg was really red and swollen so she suggested I put a cold washcloth on it. It helped a ton. I also drew a circle around the area so I could tell if it got any bigger. I finally got him to sleep and he ended up sleeping really well last night. It was so sad to see him get his shots and they made me hold his legs down. After he got them I held him and nursed him and he calmed down right away. I think I'll have Jeff take him to the next shot appointment.

Austin Rolling

Austin can roll over from his stomach onto his back. At the end of the video he makes a cute sound too.

Growth Update

Austin now weighs 12 pounds 10 ounces. He is 22 inches long which puts him in the 50th percentile for weight and 25th percentile for height. He is growing nice and steady. I can't believe how fast he is growing. He now coos and smiles when I talk to him. He also has been sleeping through the night more which makes all three of us happy.
