book, tears, bed

Yes I know this post contradicts the last one but I think these pictures are funny. We read Austin a story every night before bed and one night as soon as the story was over he started to cry. Then we knew it was for sure time for bed. So we said prayers and put him in his crib and gave him his binki. Well after we laughed and took pictures of course.

All smiles

I love these pictures of Jeff playing with Austin. He has been laughing more and more and sometimes I'll just look at him and he will start to laugh and smile which makes me laugh and we end up just laughing for no reason. We have fun together.

Nice and Warm

Grandma Kennington got Austin his snow outfit for Christmas. It has really come in handy. It is a little big for him but he looks so cute all bundled up in it. The hood also has ears. Thanks Patty!

Sitting up

My friend Megan watched Austin for us and she has one of those bumbo chairs. She put Austin in it and ever since he has been doing great at sitting up. Here he is on the futon.

Can you get your eyes any wider?

Yes our son has big eyes. When I say he is tired no one believes me because his eyes are always open as wide as they can be. Here is a comparison my sister found.

Daddy and Austin

It has been hard being unemployed right now. But one blessing is that Jeff gets to spend so much time with Austin and me. We will never have a chance like this again, hopefully. Jeff knows Austin's schedule better than I do now and it is really fun to see them playing together. Here are some pictures of the two of them.

Dairy Delights

I have been doing really well on my diet. I don't eat sugar all week and then on Fridays I get to eat sugar. So for our date night and my sugar night we went to our favorite ice cream place in Rexburg. It is called G's Dairy Delights. We have a starving student card that had a free scoop of ice cream on it so Jeff and I split that one. It was really good and I took a picture of Austin and Jeff with the cow to remember that fun place by. We have good memories of our friends the McKinneys and the Sheffields getting ice cream there.

Jeff tiled his parents bathroom while we were in Ontario for the Christmas break. He also built the arches over the tub and vanity. They sent us a few pictures now that they have it all painted. I love it. I love the new hardware and the new towel bar and their mirror. I love that style. They did a great job at picking the color. And I was also excited to see the new scentsy plug in from Breanna. I think it looks great. I can't wait to have a house so Jeff can build me a dream bathroom too.

finally, an Update

Sorry I haven't posted in a month. Our internet has been acting up and every time I try to load pictures it never works. So hopefully the pictures will work this time. If not then just words will have to do. School is going well. I really love my confectionary and cake decorating classes. Jeff watches Austin while I am in class. Austin hasn't gained any weight but he has gotten longer. We started him on rice cereal and he loves it! He tried some green beans too and seemed to tolerate them as well. He is teething so he bites and sucks on everything. And I have to keep a bib on him because he is constantly drooling. He laughs and smiles a lot and he still keeps his eyes wide open. He is starting to scooch when he is on the ground. No crawling yet though. He is doing better sitting up too. He is a sweet heart.
