Vanessa sent us a beautiful wreath she made out of a grape vine and then added some flowers and other fall pretties. Jeff and I also have been searching for a new chair for me and now for him. We saw two that we really liked at Target. They were on sale and we both fell in love with them. We are starting to sell some of our furniture we don't need to get ready for the move in December. Thanks Vanessa!
I made a cake to practice with a #18 tip I got. I wanted it to be yellow and red but the red turned out pink. Not just pink but practically florescent Disney Princess Pink. I think my niece Sydney would like it a lot. I think the design turned out nice. There was a lot of icing on the top though. Luckily our friends Rob and Lisa love icing. We brought it over to their house last night. We had a dinner and played games. It was a lot of fun.

Our apartment complex has a little friend. He is a little wild rabbit. Everyone in the complex has seen him and some have almost hit him with their cars. I think everyone enjoys his company and this is as close as I could get because he is a little scared of people. He is cute. Even Jeff likes him because he isn't fat like a domestic rabbit and he is fast.
Every since Jeff and I moved into Draper Oaks a year ago our door hasn't really locked very well. You can jiggle a bobby pin to open it. It has has it's moments of convenience but now it won't lock at all. Jeff took it apart and found that a part had broken off. We can't get a new one until tomorrow because the managers need to trade in the old one to get it replaced. I hope we don't get robbed while we sleep tonight. Poor Dane and Laurel won't be able to break in anymore.
Between semester Jeff and I stayed with his parents in Ontario Oregon. It was a nice break from school. I learned how to make pie. Jeff was so proud of me he thought I should take a picture of my lemon merengue pie that I made. It may be my favorite kind of pie now...my favorite part to eat is the merengue.
It was a lot of fun to go and visit Jon and Carrie and Dallin. Jeff and I hadn't seen them since our wedding. Dallin was very cute. He liked to read books and he says woah...and pretty much anything that starts with the letter B...except for my name. He likes to point in the air and he has a laugh that sounds like a grown man. He is a joy to be around.
I am making my first quilt. I have made really good progress so far. I finished making all the blocks and now I am piecing them together. I think putting them together is the hardest part because I want it all to match up perfectly. I am really excited about showing it to people but I want to wait until the entire top is put together before I take a picture and post it.
Jeff and I celebrated our first year of being married by eating our cake from our wedding. It was really good. We ate the whole thing. Thanks Tiff! Clint said it tasted better than some cakes taste when they are fresh. After we ate our cake we went to Boise to eat at the Cottonwood Grille. It was very romantic. There was soft music playing and dim lights with candles on all the tables. It was the best food I've ever had and it was so nice and quiet. We had a wonderful evening.
