Happy Birthday Jeff

One year older and wiser too. We had a wonderful day on Saturday celebrating Jeff's birthday.  I didn't get any pictures of him opening presents because as soon as we woke up I brought his present to him in bed before he got up.  I was really excited.  I got him an orbital sander.  Austin decorated the wrapping paper so it looked really cute.  Jeff requested a relaxing day at home so that is what I tried to deliver. I made him homemade waffles with homemade whipped cream and strawberries. Then we went out to eat for dinner without the kids.  I made him a chocolate cake. I didn't do anything fancy because we are in the middle of a move.

Bennett's Second Haircut

I can't believe Bennett is 10 months old. I also can't believe how much hair he has and how long it got.  I loved it long but everyone thought he was a girl so with some coaxing from Jeff I decided it was time to say goodbye to those lovely locks.

He loves his new haircut, can't you tell?  He was sad when Jeff finished cutting it.  My boys are strange like that. They love baths and haircuts.

Easter Egg Hunt

We didn't want to go to a huge Easter Egg hunt this year so we decided to do our own.  We don't really have a yard right now but we do have some nice grass area in our apartment complex near the parking lot.  Austin didn't care where it was and he had a blast being able to find all the eggs.

Those are the best pictures I could get of the boys together.  Bennett doesn't like grass yet. We had a really great Easter.

Happy Easter

When we went to get Austin on Easter morning we found him with a bunch of empty plastic eggs and some candy wrappers. He found my stash of candy that the Easter Bunny left for me in a bag on the kitchen counter.  He also had the little model boat the Jeff made in his bed.  The boat's name is Bucky.  Austin said his favorite thing the Easter bunny brought him was his big chocolate bunny.Bennett got a touch and feel book and a dog stuffed animal.

Dying Easter Eggs

The pictures don't show it but Austin was really excited to dye eggs this year.  Every morning for a month he would open the fridge and then open the egg carton and look inside to see if they were colored.  It took him awhile to understand the concept but he caught on and loved sitting there just watching the eggs while they were in the dye.  He still talks about it even though Easter is over.  Maybe we'll do it twice next year.
