Happy Valentines Day

Every Tuesday the boys and I go to a play/pool group. We go to different pools or playgrounds depending on the weather. This Tuesday we had our Valentines day party. It was so much fun.
The kids had a great time. Bennett spent most of his time near the food table. He was especially attached to his cool aid.

It is hard for me to get a picture of Austin without his tongue sticking out. I guess it is the age?

 Playing with his friend Gideon.

 There's that tongue again.

I think it is impossible to get a picture with both of them together looking at the camera and smiling nicely.

Best I could get but there is a weird shadow and the light is off. Sigh....

Valentines Day Morning. Opening their Valentine hearts from the Valentine Fairy.
What, she doesn't visit your house? Well that is too bad, you are missing out.

They were very focused. The chocolate lasted longer than I thought it would. It probably took them about ten minutes to eat all three pieces.

The best Valentines day present we are getting this year will arrive at 8:00pm. Patty and Clint are on their way to Florida right now! We are so excited.

Too Few Pictures

I feel like I don't take enough pictures. I have a nice camera but sometimes I just forget to get it out. I like to be down on the floor with my kids or working on a craft project with them instead of being behind a camera. As soon as I get it out they make weird faces instead of just enjoying what we are doing. I guess like all things, I just need to find balance. I want to capture the fun times we have and I love to have pictures of each stage of their life but when is it too much?

Great Granpda Kennington's Florida Visit

I'm sad I didn't get more pictures. We were just relaxing and having such a good time I didn't think about it. Grandpa and Aunt Wendy came to visit us for a week. It was such a nice visit. Every day was a nice day. We enjoyed spending a lot of time on the lanai. We ate chocolate almond covered ice cream bars from costco. We went out to dinner. We went to the beach. Grandpa went to work with Jeff in the morning and then we all had lunch together. We fished in the canal. We went for walks to the play ground every day. Aunt Wendy helped me sew feathers onto the costume I had to make for the performance project. We planted our garden with Grandpa's help. We helped a neighbor mulch. We bought paint for the outside of our house and we tested a few places to see if we liked the color. The boys loved having the extra attention. We were sad to see them leave. I hope we get to have another visit from them next year.

Bowling

They started using the 6lb balls but then moved up to an 8 and eventually the 10lb ball. I didn't know they could carry that much weight.

Bennett trying to lift the 14lb ball. He liked the orange one.

Austin totally photo bombed this picture. I was trying to get one of just Gideon but Austin jumped in at the last second.

Austin and Bennett were invited to a bowling party a few weeks ago and they had a blast. I had purchased a bowling Groupon a few months ago and forgotten about it. I had intended to use it for a group date with some of our friends. Since the boys had to much fun I thought it would be nice to go as a family. Austin invited his friend Gideon. They are buddies. We had a wonderful time. Bennett's favorite part was watching the ball after he pushed it off the ramp. He would stand there and watch it until it hit the pins.
