Happy Easter

Easter was a lot of fun this year. We were able to dye easter eggs with the Leamasters. Austin got his first Easter basket and my parents came to visit us. Austin didn't get to go on an Easter Egg hunt because it was raining really hard but GG and Pap Pap got him a bike to make up for it. Thanks Mom and Dad he loves the bike.

Numerical Methods in Heat, Mass and Momentum Transfer

That is the actual name of one of Jeff's classes this semester. I had to look it up to make sure I got it right. Jeff is taking two classes this semester and then some research credits. He just got his midterm back yesterday and he got a 99 percent! I am so proud of him. He has been working so hard in his classes and research. It is really nice to have something to show for it. Yay Jeff!

Beautiful Day

Ever since it warmed up here Austin has been asking to go outside everyday. He hands me my shoes and he tries to put his on too. He doesn't really do anything specifically outside. He mostly just walks around and looks at things. He also likes to watch Jeff work in the garden and sometimes he "helps".

So Busy

 Austin likes to keep busy all day. He spends most of his time dumping out his toy bin or taking all his books off his shelf and then trying to put them back. Mostly they end up not being put back.

 He likes to "help" me keep my paper tote organized by taking everything out. I have some stencils in there he really likes. Austin also likes to pet Choloe the kitty. He will give her kisses if you ask him to.

Jeff showed him that some of his pants have pockets so he likes to put as many things as he can in his pockets. Sometimes he puts toys down his onsie and when I change him for bed I'll find cars or dominoes stuck to his chest. He cracks me up.

Ouch!

Yesterday while I was exercising Austin was running around the family room and he tripped and hit his head on the coffee table. I was shocked when I picked him up to find a lump the size of a golf ball on his forehead. I thought his head was going to start bleeding too but it never did. I don't think it broke all the way through the skin. He was pretty upset until I got the camera out to take a picture. He is doing just fine now. I called the on-call nurse at my dr's office and she said he probably didn't have a concussion since he didn't vomit. She just told me to keep an eye on him and make sure he didn't sleep too long. He didn't take a nap at all yesterday so it was a long day. We are just happy he is ok. I'm going to hold off on getting his 18 month pictures taken though.

Happy Valentines Day

This year for Valentines day Jeff got me a dozen roses. I was very surprised and excited. I've only received a few flowers from him and I've always wanted a dozen roses. He gets an A+ this year. Austin got a valentine from the Valentine Fairy. She used to bring me and my siblings chocolates every Valentines Day. Austin seemed to like his Valentine present.
