Bennett was blessed on Sunday June 26, 2011 in the West Lafayette 2nd Ward. It was a beautiful day and the only thing that could have made it better would have been to have had more family there. For those of you who couldn't be there I have posted the blessing here along with the pictures.
By the authority of the Holy Melchizedich Priesthood we take this infant in our arms to give him a name and a blessing. The name by which he shall be known on the records of the church is Bennett William Kennington. At this time we give you a blessing that you will feel the spirit strongly as you progress throughout your life that you will have the guidance of the Lord, to follow him. We bless you with a keen mind and a strong body so you can understand the world around you. We bless you both your body and your mind to serve the Lord as he wants you to. We bless that you will receive the education you need so you can provide for yourself and your family. We bless you with courage to travel through life in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
